The list of optional and compulsory subjects in Intermediate Humanities (FA):

Compulsory Subjects

Elective Subjects:

There are three groups of elective subjects and a student has to choose one elective subject from each group. He also has the choice to choose language subjects.

Group 1:

  • Statistics
  • Geography
  • World History

Group 2:

  • Mathematics
  • Philosophy
  • Civics
  • Islamiyat
  • Fine Arts

Group 3:

  • Economics
  • Psychology
  • Islamic History
  • Music
  • Physical Education

Languages:

  1. English Literature
  2. French
  3. Persian
  4. Arabic
  5. Advanced Urdu

Eligibility Criteria for Intermediate Humanities (FA):

All the students who have qualified for their Matriculation, O-Level, or equivalent examination from any recognized Board / University can be admitted to Intermediate (Humanities FA) programs. Candidate has to get a prospectus of the desired institution offering intermediate programs in which he wants to get admission then after filling out the admission form he has to attach his academic documents and then the admission fee is deposited. The required documents include:

  • Attested photocopies of the SSC Result Card/ Certificate issued by the board.
  • Photocopy of Character Certificate.
  • Colored Photographs (passport size)
  • Photocopy of Students’ NIC /Form B.
  • Photocopy of Father’s NIC.
  • Photocopy of Board’s Registration Certificate.
  • Students pass SSC Exams from other Boards must deposit Original Migration Certificate (NOC) in the college office within few days after the admission.
  • Students who pass ‘O’ Levels first get an Equivalence Certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairman Islamabad and then appear for interview.

Admission Fee:

The admission fee varies from one institute to another but should be deposited at the time of admission. The duration of the program is two years. The BISE will conduct terminal examinations on completion of 1st Year and 2nd Year’s sessions. You should check the affiliation of the college with a certain education board.
