FSc Admission Procedure and Subjects Compulsory and Elective

After passing matric you have to choose your future subjects in which you want to make your career. After completing the school, a student enters in intermediate and then he is introduced to a totally new learning environment. In College a student has to think masterly and has to choose his subjects which he wants to study. Here is given a brief introduction of intermediate in science i.e. FSc Pre-Medical and FSc Pre-Engineering.

FSc Admission Procedure and Subjects Compulsory and Elective

FSC Pre-Medical:

Students who are from biology background can choose FSc pre-Medical program. After doing FSc Pre-Medical you can choose different career choices for example Medicine, Physiotherapy Surgery, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Microbiology Molecular Genetics, Cloning, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Environmental, Biology, DVM, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Bacteriology, Embryology and many others. Students have to do hard work in FSc pre-Medical, in order to choose these competitive career fields. The pre-Medical program develops the basic scientific skills of the students in fields of Physic, Chemistry and Biology.

The list of optional and compulsory subjects in FSc Pre-Medical:

Compulsory Subjects:

  1. English
  2. Urdu
  3. Islamic Studies/ Pakistan Studies

Elective Subjects:

  1. Chemistry
  2. Physics
  3. Biology

FSc Pre-Engineering:

Students who are from math background can choose FSc Pre-0Engineering program in college. After doing FSc Pre-Engineering, you can select one career field among so many different career fields available for a pre-Engineering student for example Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Space Engineering and Meteorological Engineering. The pre-Engineering program develops the basic scientific skills of the students in fields of Physic, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  1. English
  2. Urdu
  3. Islamic Studies/ Pakistan Studies

Elective Subjects:

  1. Chemistry
  2. Physics
  3. Mathematics

Eligibility Criteria for FSc Pre-Medical and FSc Pre-Engineering:

All the students who have qualified their Matriculation, O-Level or equivalent examination from any recognized Board / University can take admission in Intermediate (Pre-medical and Pre-Engineering) programs.

Admission Procedure and Required Documents:

Candidate has to get prospectus of the desired institution offering intermediate programs in which he wants to get admission then after filling the admission form he has to attach his academic documents and then admission fee is deposited. The required documents include:

  • Attested photocopies of SSC Result Card/ Certificate issued by the board.
  • Photocopy of Character Certificate.
  • Colored Photographs (passport size)
  • Photocopy of Students’ NIC /Form B.
  • Photocopy of Fathers’ NIC.
  • Photocopy of Board’s Registration Certificate.
  • Students pass SSC Exams from other Boards must deposit Original Migration Certificate (NOC) in the college office within few days after the admission.
  • Students who pass ‘O’ Levels first get Equivalence Certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairman Islamabad and then appear for interview.

Admission Fee:

The admission fee varies from one institute to other but should be deposited at the time of admission.

Duration of Program (Intermediate Science):

The duration of the program is two years. The BISE will conduct terminal examinations on completion of 1st Year and 2nd Year’s sessions. You should check the affiliation of the college with certain education board.
