Pakistan navy took initiative for the uninterrupted education for children of naval personnel in 1980’s and formed an institute named as Bahria. Until 1995 the institute just had school and college but then it was further upgraded to the university level. Bahria university is not only for naval personnel but also for civilians.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Bahria University admits students 2 times a year i.e. in September and February. But for the engineering students admissions are conducted just once a year. The entry test is conducted and the students eligible are given admission. The prospectus is to be collected from the university campus and form is submitted back with required documents. The results are displayed online as Bahria University has a very easy and organized website for its students.

STUDENT LIFE AT BAHRIA UNIVERSITY:

Bahria University is very well-disciplined university as it is supervised by our navy personnel Vice Admiral Shahid Iqbal HI (M) (Retired). Rules and regulations are strictly followed. Students who get into university for getting education with whole heart and sincerely are never let down. Teachers whether permanent faculty or visiting faculty, all is strongly advised to teach their students passionately and give all sort of educational guidance they require. And to accomplish the mission a ‘W’ ranked library is also provided for students in university premises.

Bahria university not only help in educational life of a student but also it helps in career building of their students and thus university has provided a separate section for career office who not only guide them in acquiring their careers but also provide different opportunities for their further life.

Students along with education are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities. For this purpose university have a student resource centre that helps students join different student clubs for nurturing their talents. Moreover, different societies are also present in university that helps understanding student’s discipline in a creative way.

Bahria University also take care of good health of their students and have provided with the best gymnasium where indoor games and exercising machines are also provided. This facility is for both girls and boys.

Students of Bahria University are nurtured and educated in such a way that they excel in their lives with leaps and bounds. However it is not a very old institute yet in 15 years it has been rated by HEC as the 15^th top university of Pakistan out of 128 Pakistani universities.
