Punjab University Institute of Communication Studies (PU ICS) has declared the result of M.Phil and PhD entrance test exam, according to which 27 candidates have qualified for PhD admission interview, 48 for M.Phil (research track) and 42 for M.Phil (professional track).

The successful candidates will appear before the Departmental Doctoral Program Committee comprised of the senior most faculty members for interview on August 19, 20 and 21. According to details for PhD admission a total 45 candidates submitted applications, 43 appeared in the written test and 27 qualified for interview scheduled on August 19.

For admission to M.Phil (research track) 177 candidates submitted applications, out of which 160 appeared in the test and 48 qualified for the interview scheduled on August 20. For M.Phil (professional track) 207 candidates submitted applications, out of which 181 appeared in the test and 42 qualified for interview scheduled on August 22.

To ensure transparency, for the first time in the history of ICS, fictitious number were placed instead of roll numbers and names of the candidates, to ensure there is no human bias in evaluation process. All papers were reviewed multiple times by all members of the committee before announcement of the result. The list of successful candidates of written has been displayed at Notice board of PU ICS. It in note worthy for M.Phil/ PhD admissions the criteria of HEC and PU DPCC is being adopted according to which 50 marks are for academic qualifications, 40 marks for written test and 10 marks for interview.
